About REPISALUD

REPISALUD is the institutional repository of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and its foundations: the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC) and the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas (CNIO). This repository gathers both scientific and academic production of these institutions in a single, open-access digital archive.

OUR INSTITUTIONS

The ISCIII is the Public Research Body (OPI) which finances, manages and executes biomedical research in Spain. Its main mission is to foster the generation of scientific knowledge in the health sciences and the promotion of innovation in health care and in the prevention of disease.

The CNIC is a State Public Foundation whose main mission is to research to understand the fundamental bases of health and cardiovascular disease, to promote its prevention, and that the knowledge generated translates into benefit for the patients and society as well as a tangible return for the Spanish public sector.

The CNIO is a Public State Foundation created by the ISCIII, whose purpose is to conduct cancer research, both basic and applied, facilitating the transfer of oncological discoveries from the laboratory to the patient.

Main goals of REPISALUD

Increase the visibility, impact and knowledge transfer generated in these centres.

Ensure the archiving and preservation of the documents deposited, as well as their identification through a unique persistent identifier.

Help researchers from these centres to fulfil the mandates of the specialized agencies, both national and international funding agencies, allowing them to deposit in Open Access all the documents subject to this mandate.

STRUCTURE AND CONTENT OF REPISALUD

The content of REPISALUD is structured around five communities. These are divided into sub-communities that group the centres and departments of the institutions (ISCIII, CNIC, CNIO). These Sub-communities are divided into the assortments shown below, which contain the documents that may be part of the repository. Documents can be included in more than one collection, to facilitate their location based on different criteria.
