REPISALUD (REPositorio Institucional de SALUD del Instituto de Salud Carlos III), una infraestructura digital abierta y colaborativa

Abstract

[ES] Introducción: REPISALUD, el REPositorio Institucional de SALUD del Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) y sus Fundaciones, está desarrollando un proyecto de ampliación para albergar la producción científica en abierto de otras instituciones de investigación sanitaria, en concreto de los Institutos de Investigación Sanitaria (IIS) acreditados por el ISCIII. Objetivos: Realizar un análisis de la puesta en marcha y evolución del proyecto de integración y difundir los resultados del plan estratégico llevado a cabo hasta el momento actual. Material y método: Se han revisado los informes y el material generado en el proyecto, las actividades llevadas a cabo y la planificación estratégica prevista a corto y medio plazo. Se ha analizado la producción científica que generan los IIS: cómo la recuperan, gestionan, almacenan, preservan y difunden. Se han planificado los desarrollos técnicos y documentales y la compatibilidad de los registros y metadatos a través de un estudio técnico de integración. Resultados: Se ha desplegado la estructura y colecciones de cada IIS mapeando la producción en colaboración. Se han habilitado las plantillas de metadatos necesarias y normalizadas conforme a estándares internacionales. La integración de la producción científica en abierto de los centros piloto está prevista antes de finalizar el año. Discusión-conclusiones: La apertura de Repisalud a otras instituciones del ámbito biomédico es una realidad gracias al trabajo colaborativo en red de diversos agentes con equipos multidisciplinares. La integración de la producción científica en abierto de dichas instituciones y de otras futuras organizaciones y redes, contribuirá a mejorar la difusión y el libre acceso a los resultados de investigación en ciencias de la salud, aumentará la visibilidad, el impacto y la transferencia del conocimiento abierto de la investigación financiada con fondos públicos e impulsará la ciencia de excelencia en abierto, con el fin último de convertirse en un bien común al servicio de la sociedad. [EN] Introduction: REPISALUD, the Health Institutional Repository of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and its Foundations, is developing an expansion project to host the open scientific production of other health research institutions, specifically the Health Research Institutes (IIS) accredited by the ISCIII. Objectives: To carry out an analysis of the implementation and evolution of the integration project and to disseminate the results of the strategic plan carried out to date. Material and method: The reports and material generated in the project, the activities carried out and the strategic planning foreseen in the short and medium term have been reviewed. The scientific production generated by the IIS has been analysed: how it is retrieved, managed, stored, preserved and disseminated. The technical and documentary developments and the compatibility of records and metadata have been planned through a technical integration study. Results: The structure and collections of each IIS have been deployed by mapping collaborative production. The necessary metadata templates have been enabled and normalised according to international standards. The integration of the open scientific production of the pilot centres is planned before the end of the year. Discussion-conclusions: The opening of Repisalud to other institutions in the biomedicine field is a reality thanks to the collaborative networking of various agents with multidisciplinary teams. The integration of the open scientific production of these institutions and other future organisations and networks will contribute to improving the dissemination and free access to research results in health sciences, increase the visibility, impact and transfer of open knowledge of public funded research and promote open science of excellence, with the ultimate aim of becoming a common good serving society.
