dc.description.abstractIn a recent issue of Cell, Yao et al. use a unique genetic strategy to study sonic hedgehog-medulloblastoma. Their results reveal a complex network in the tumor microenvironment involving the trans-differentiation of cancer cells into astrocytes to fuel tumor growth.
