Four isolates were fluconazole susceptible, while the fifth isolate developed fluconazole resistance. Analysis of the 14-alpha lanosterol demethylase gene (ERG11) showed a point mutation in the resistant strain responsible for the amino acid substitution G484S.</subfield>
