[ES]El retorno al trabajo de las mujeres supervivientes de cáncer de mama es un proceso multifactorial que refleja no solo la recuperación física, sino también la reintegración social y profesional. Diversos elementos influyen en esta transición, agrupados en tres dimensiones principales: personales, clínicas y laborales. En el ámbito personal, factores como la edad, el nivel educativo y el apoyo social tienen un impacto significativo. Las mujeres más jóvenes y con mayor formación suelen reincorporarse con mayor facilidad, especialmente si cuentan con redes de apoyo sólidas. Desde la perspectiva clínica, el tipo de tratamiento recibido y los efectos secundarios persistentes —como fatiga, dolor o linfedema— pueden limitar la capacidad funcional y retrasar el regreso al entorno laboral. Los factores laborales también son determinantes. La naturaleza del empleo, la flexibilidad de horarios, las condiciones físicas del puesto y el grado de comprensión del entorno laboral influyen directamente en la reincorporación. Las políticas de adaptación progresiva y los programas de rehabilitación ocupacional pueden facilitar este proceso. En conjunto, el retorno al trabajo requiere un enfoque integral que contemple tanto las necesidades médicas como las sociales y laborales, promoviendo entornos inclusivos y estrategias de apoyo que favorezcan una reintegración sostenible y digna. Several elements influence this transition, grouped into three main dimensions: personal, clinical, and occupational. On a personal level, factors such as age, educational background, and social support play a significant role. Younger women with higher levels of education tend to return to work more easily, especially when supported by strong social networks. Clinically, the type of treatment received and persistent side effects—such as fatigue, pain, or lymphedema—can limit functional capacity and delay reentry into the workforce. Occupational factors are also critical. The nature of the job, schedule flexibility, physical demands, and the level of understanding from employers and colleagues directly affect the reintegration process. Policies that allow for gradual return and access to occupational rehabilitation programs can facilitate this transition. Overall, the return-to-work process requires a comprehensive approach that considers medical, social, and occupational needs. Promoting inclusive environments and implementing supportive strategies are key to ensuring a sustainable and dignified reintegration for breast cancer survivors.
