[ES]El mundo experimenta una creciente epidemia de sobrepeso y obesidad, triplicándose su prevalencia en los últimos 50 años. Esto se atribuye a un consumo de alimentos obesogénicos con alta densidad calórica y elevado índice glucémico así como a un disbalance entre las calorías ingeridas y gastadas.Para ayudar a la población a diferenciar aquellos alimentos con más potencial obesogénico, se han desarrollado aplicaciones móviles que escanean el código de barras de los alimentos y muestran una puntuación basada en algoritmos y evidencias científicas. El objetivo de este estudio es conocer si hay relación entre la puntuación que ofrecen las aplicaciones escaneadoras de alimentos y la prevalencia de sobrepeso/obesidad en una muestra representativa de la población general en la ciudad de Madrid. También se quiere comprobar si la puntuación tiene relación con las morbilidades derivadas de este problema metabólico. Asimismo, la cantidad y tipo de aditivos serán analizados en relación a
la obesidad y sus morbilidades. Para ello, las participantes enviarán informes de la comida escaneada y consumida durante dos meses. A su vez, estas participantes completarán un cuestionario sobre datos personales, generales, socioeconómicos y biomédicos. Se analizará la asociación entre la media de la puntuación de la comida escaneada y el índice de masa corporal (IMC), así como de los aditivos y otras variables recogidas en la encuesta.[EN] The world experiences a growing overweight and obesity epidemic, resulting in a threefold increase in the last 50 years. This is due to obesogenic high-calorie and high glycemic index food consumption as well as a disbalance between ingested and burned calories. Some mobile apps have been developed to help the population distinguish the food with greater obesogenic potential, through the scanning of the food's barcode that inmediately displays a score based on algorithms and scientific evidence. The goal of this study is to see if there is any relationship between the score of the foodscanning mobile apps and the prevalence of overweight/obesity in a sample representative of the general population in the city of Madrid. It will also be checked the relationship between the score and related morbidities. In addition, total quantity and type of additives will be analysed in relation to obesity and morbidities. For that goal, participants will send reports of the scanned food for two months. At the same time, these participants will fill a survey about personal, general, socioeconomic and biomedical data. The scanned food's median score and the body mass index (BMI) relationship will be analysed, as well as additives and other data collected in the survey.
