Here, we provide a detailed protocol to enable the identification and purification of cardiomyocyte-derived exophers by using fluorescence-activated cell sorting for downstream cellular and molecular analysis. This protocol requires the use of mouse strains expressing fluorescent proteins in cardiomyocytes.</subfield>
